| | Steve had the unique privilege of baptizing his sons this past Sunday. We spent the week leading up to it talking with them to make sure they understood what it meant. Steve talked about his own baptism in Niger, West Africa where his parents are missionaries. When I was growing up, the church we were attending did not have a baptismal so we would go to a church in the afternoon and borrow the building for baptisms when we needed to. That building is the church Steve and I attend now. It was really special that Jeff and Eti were baptized in the same baptismal that some of my siblings were baptized in. Steve's parents came, my Grandma, my parents and my sister Janet all came. Having them there made it extra special. Jeff just said tonight, "Jesus is always with me, even when I am distracted by reading or playing a game I will get a whiff of Jesus, and I know He is with me, I talk to Him in my mind." Steve and I gripped hands tightly under the table, I know we were both thinking "Oh, sweet boy we hope you always walk in the truth." There is just no greater joy!
