Sarah and Dan

They had a friend who knew a friend who owned a mansion.. so that is where we did the "fashion shoot"  the owner had classical music spilling out of the windows.  It was a dream location!

Little miss excited in the front row caught the bouquet!

I LOVE shooting a wedding where my sister made the cake, LOVE it!!!  I am trying to figure out a way to give my clients a discount when they hire Julie so that I can see her at more of my weddings!

I shot this picture with the people behind on purpose to show you the scale of this masterpiece, so many people around me were talking about how it was the very best cake they ever had, and they did not know I was related to her. They also did not know that I am officially one of her top three cake -tester- outers so they should all be very jealous, ( I have tiramisu in the fridge from her right now as a matter of fact).

We are both doing things we have been doing since childhood, she started out making coffee cakes and snicker doodles when she was about Jeff's age and I was busy filling the walls in our room with photographs.

I will catch her eye across the room at a wedding and we will smile, and I know we are both thinking the same thing, "I can't believe this is us, all grown up, getting to do what we have always loved to do"!

The beautiful bride, I am posting these for her because she moved twelve hours away from her friends and family and I wanted her to be able to share the images with them.

Sarah and Dan were a great couple to work with, even when it started to rain they waited it out to make sure we got all the shots we needed!

The shot of the bride and groom kissing in the field with the clouds hanging low on the horizon ... WOW. And I am just a wee bit jealous about that tiramisu! :)

Stunning.  LOOoove the cake!!  You both are so talented!!  What a blessing to do what you have always loved doing.  (and what a blessing that we get to "sneak peak" at it).

I saw the title and I was hoping this was a "wedding post".  I love the photo's.  I always wished I had insisted on getting pictures of Jeremy and I in a field, in our wedding gear. . . . I'm happy Sara and Dan got to!

So special to see the different settings and shots you get at weddings. The field and them with the rain storm in the background is so beautiful. I love the statues giving a counterpoint to them too.
Love the story behind the cake (which is gorgeous) and the two of you growing up!

Wow. That shot where he's kissing her in the field is simply amazing. The sky, the field, the lighting.... it's a perfect photo. Really lovely.
Also, that statue is so joyful. I really like it.

What a lovely way to start my day!  So much beauty here.....I love all the pictures, smiled at the stories of you and Julie (cake looks SO good!), smiled at the way you included the statues in the photographs almost like they were the focal point, instead of the couple.  Very nice!

Have a wonderful day, friend!

These pictures all have such a dream-like quality to them--not just the black-and-whites, but the ones in the field, as well. So perfect for a wedding, which is a dream-like time! And oh, Julie's cake! I wish I had known you ladies back before Carl and I got married, just so I could have hired you to do our photographs and cake! (Well, not JUST because of that ... the friendship thing, too.)

Oh, and the lace on the wedding dress is STUNNING.

So inspiring for me. Do you know that I have started photography as a hobby- and have been hired by a few folks....and my sister (younger than me) started cake decorating as a hobby.....and now she's doing it professionally? :) The two things we love....just a coincidence that I thought was worth mentioning. :)

Love the B/W's. I wish I could get my black and whites to look the way you do. :) I always love reading about your photoshoots and wedding experiences.

It looks like the groom's ring is exactly like my husband's! I just returned from a trip and enjoyed looking at these and previously posted pictures. I love the emotion and the moments you capture.

Wonderful shoot!
Looks so very vintage.
She had to be happy with the photos.

That cake!!! Love that silver stand!
It reminded me of Rachel's cake many moons ago. Only difference was ribbons on each layer aka Martha Stewart Weddings (the older book). I think I have that book memorized. It was our only real resource.

Beautiful bride.
ummm hmmmm.

ps- rec'd the extra extra sharpened pencil note.
:) Thanks so much. xox
