A new job, thanks to those who prayed!

My love started his new job today.  It is a very similar position to what he was doing before, just for a new company.  We are very thankful, I was in NYC when he called and told me he got the job and I broke down and just cried and cried.   This Summer was one of the best in my memory.  We did so many things as a family, after he finished the three online courses that he took ALL AT THE SAME TIME, we had a few weeks where every day felt like Saturday, and we packed a lot in!

The pictures above were taken on one of our many dates.  Steve and I were walking down a street towards a new restaurant we wanted to try out and this temple we passed was tapping me on the shoulder. Telling me to turn back and take a better look.

I found myself walking around the house looking for him today and then realized that he is not here.

I am missing him like crazy after being spoiled with having him with me during the day.

Thanks for sharing the great news...I'm sure your whole family will remember this summer as one of the best - simply because you spent it with each other.  As always your photos are amazing!

I know how that is; you love having hubby with you for awhile and then he goes back to work. Well, mine works when there is a project available with his construction buddy. I missed him! Now he's around all the time again but has alot of churchy business he's in on. So, he's here and then he's not and I feel like I keep getting flipped around like tiddlywinks. At least our guys are alive and we know how to make the most of the time we have with each other, huh?  That stained glass window is awesome!  Love, GAil in windswept central AZ!

So happy for you in both ways...making the most of your summer, and thanksgiving for provision and the job!

Neat photos of the temple.  I have been spending a lot of time receiving treatment and my chiropractor and his family are Jewish. They homeschool their children and are all at the center together.  I have been praying for the Lord to help me share with them.  Turns out they are our neighbors and live across the street!  I am suddenly aware of all the beliefs that we share.

I know I already said this when we talked, but Carl and I are so glad about Steve's new job! I keep asking Carl if he could work from home part of the time ... surely he doesn't need to be IN the office every day!

At least with your life slowing down we should be seeing more blogs, right?

That's me, always looking for the silver lining!

What an answer to prayer!  So glad He gave you this summer and all those wonderful memories for you to treasure.  All to often we don't see God's graces towards us until after we have gone through a difficult experience, I am so glad you were able to see and appreciate those grace gifts while you were going through this summer.  Dan and I praise God with you.

I feel that way anytime Dave is home for a bit.  I am so excited to see you all.  Ummm, did you even realize how close Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown are to the wedding locale????  I'm checking on ticket prices, etc.  I may have to run over there.  I would just LOVE to see where the first settlement was.  Anyway, I had no idea it was all so close!  I'm kinda glad I'm getting there a bit early.  There are also a lot of free museums really close to the hotel.  AND, since the wedding doesn't start until later in the afternoon on Saturday, maybe your crew (minus you, sadly) might want to explore???  There's tons of cool stuff to look at.  I'm rambling.  I'll stop now.  :)

praise God! so awesome to hear that Steve was blessed with a job. I'm sure it was such a stretching time for your family as you strove to trust that the Lord's hand was in all of this. I'm glad that you were able to have the summer together again. Congrats on that massive hike you did. i didn't finish reading about it all but it sounds wonderful. I love those pictures of the Jewish temple. beautiful. i'm glad that you and Steve were able to find special times throughout the summer to go on little dates and just love on each other. and that you were able to spend some special time with the kids as well.

was wondering if that lovely young man that got to come to your home with the Fresh Air Fund was able to return to you all this year as well. i remember you mentioning something about it when i asked earlier, but i couldnt' remember if you were indeed able to spend some blessed time with him.

love you girl.
