We had my sister Julie's kids this weekend! They spent the afternoon on Sunday playing in the playhouse Steve and I made that goes over a card table. It originally went over a larger card table (that's why it looks so droopy), my Grandma used her serger to help me put the plastic window on. There is a small flap door on the side. In the picture above Ally is peeking out the window with her dolly and you can see a hint of Coco's doll as well. I wanted to point out the table to you because it was so so so worth the investment of time and the little money the fabric cost. It folds away so easy and was ridiculously simple to make. Sometimes I see the $200 $300 playhouses at Toys R Us and think Coco would like one, but I am convinced that the things we make for them they like more.

Eti called me over that same day to look at the drop of water on a leaf, he really wanted me to get a picture of it and stood there protecting it with his hands around it until I came back with the camera.
Ally Baby
Her sweet eyes, I told her to look in the camera and she bumped her nose on the lens.
Every single antique store I have ever been in my first question is "Do you have any used journals?" My Mom found a stack of them from the 30's for me, back when people had nice romantic handwriting. Fallen leaf, journal left behind...
Such a good day today, good because it was the first day of snow and school was cancelled, and all the little traditions that go along with that. The kids running to the windows and then digging out all of their gloves and hats and so on. Good because we were all so cozy and excited to be a family alone today, eating french toast and sipping hot chocolate and reading books cuddled under blankets. And the free taco from Taco Bell, anybody else tap into that? |
