I went to a wedding this weekend and during the reception I overheard a father talking to his young daughter.  She had been busy with all her little cousins and he said "Daddy loves you so much, I want to protect you and watch over you. Can you please play here in this area where I can see you so that I can keep guard over you?" He kissed her forehead and she ran off with all the freedom of a princess loved and adored by the king.  She twirled around on the dance floor and giggled with her friends all the while secure that Daddy was watching her and was pleased with her.  She stayed within his boundaries and with that came freedom.

Out of the hundreds of pictures I took over the weekend I chose this photo to capture how I feel about this wedding.  At the beginning of their relationship they chose to stay in light of God's will, they sought His leading in everything and because of that they were free. They were unashamed and passionately surrounded in love.  They stayed where God was pleased with them and with that brought freedom.

I asked Naomi (The mother of the groom) how she felt about the wedding and she said "full joy" in the whispery way she has of talking when something is coming from her heart and I knew just what she meant.  I felt it too, not only because I already feel so close to this family and was looking forward to it all summer, but everyone who attended this wedding felt it.  The whole room erupted when they had their first kiss and then ran down the aisle to U2's "Beautiful Day".  It was such a beautiful day, almost too much to take in all at once.

I wish my kids were there, I would be whispering in their ears..."Open your eyes, watch, this is what true love done right looks like..this is what you want, don't settle for less, this right here, is love worth waiting for.
