How infallibly it is remembered.

How superabundantly it pays itself back."

The photo of the girls walking at the hotel and the edited stairs shot caught my eye.  Awesome job, Jo!

Which ones are your favorites?

And just think. . . .years from now, these marriages that you capture will hopefully will have an even deeper meaningful love.  Did you ever think of doing a post w/photos of "old love", elderly couples?   Love grows and grows through the years . .in such a beautiful way.  The pictures here have the promise of a life begun.

Joanna, all the photos are lovely, any bride would be thrilled to have them.  The very first one was my favorite.  My very close 2nd fav. was the one w/the three little girls.  Are they sisters?

@chambray7 - Thank you!  I did not use my old camera with this wedding.  I did use an overlay on the picture with his hands on her back. The overlay was taken from a camera that is 100 yrs. old.

@ialsolovechocolate - Kimmi!  Steve and I both love the staircase shots.  But my favorite was the second shot where she is smiling.

These are amazing!! I don't think I could choose a favorite, everytime I scrolled down I thought "OOh that one is my favorite, no that one, no that one . . . ." Beautiful, you have created such a wonderful keepsake for this couple.

I love these shots.  Awesome.  I really wish I had someone like you to photograph my wedding...but we were poor, and we hired a college student who wanted to be a missionary/photojounalist.  It was fine, but the shots definitely weren't professional!

Beautiful photos........I love the ones where the lighting makes it looks ethereal, by the tree, and the first dancing one. What settings did you use at least for the ones at the tree.

Simply Breathtaking, the first one is my favorite. Do you purchase the overlays for your photos or make them?

All the adjectives I can think of to describe this have already been used by others. Breathtaking, beautiful, stunning ... you have been blessed with such a wonderful gift, to be able to capture such moments and show people's souls through your photography. I appreciate the quotes, as well. Love is so much more than just "butterflies in the tummy!"

Several of these took my breath away!

You never cease to amaze me, JO...

Oh, to have had one- just ONE -fabulous, artistic photo from our wedding back in the day. It seems that all wedding albums looked the same. Predictable. I can remember wishing for something more.

Stunning!  I am in love with your photography.  I ask this because I really want to know...do you travel for weddings, oh say, to the east coast?!  :)  When I need one can I contact you for pricing options?  I really like your love of old cameras too, you can tell photography isn't just something you do randomly.

@coolmomofeight - I have never bought textures most of them are taken from old cameras, or have been painted by me and the kids, or from things around the house and collections of stock photos.

I can't see buying them even someone did not want to make their own there are so many free ones out there. The flower was from one of the free sites.

@Kevnrae - I usually shoot wide open b/w 1.4 and 2.8, ISO 200 but it always depends on the day and what the light is doing.  I do not walk into a shoot thinking F.stop and shutter speed, I do shoot full manual but I visualize the shot first, set it up in my mind and then work with the camera to make it translate on to "film".  The glow is partly because of the wide open aperature and also post process using the blur filter and some of the other tools that Photo Shop provides.
